Study about Cells

General Structure of Cells

  1. A cell is the basic unit of life. It is the smallest unit capable of independent existence.
  2. Its function is to carry out life processes.
  3. Its size is to small to be seen and we need a microscope to look at cells.
  4. In general,l every cell is made up of : a cell membrane, cytoplasm and a nucleus.
  5. Two types of cell that are animal cells and plant cells.
  6. There are many differences between both cells.
  7. The structure of an animal cells can be studied by preparing a slide of human cheek cells.
  8. To study a plant cells, onion cells can be used.
