General Structure of Cells
- A cell is the basic unit of life. It is the smallest unit capable of independent existence.
- Its function is to carry out life processes.
- Its size is to small to be seen and we need a microscope to look at cells.
- In general,l every cell is made up of : a cell membrane, cytoplasm and a nucleus.
- Two types of cell that are animal cells and plant cells.
- There are many differences between both cells.
- The structure of an animal cells can be studied by preparing a slide of human cheek cells.
- To study a plant cells, onion cells can be used.
Experiment : Preparing a slide of onion cells and human cheek cells
